ANDREW GREER

Andrew Greer is a Brooklyn born actor, writer, and director. Andrew graduated from Edward R. Murrow HS with a focus in performing arts. He then went on to study acting at Emerson College for 4 years and earned his BFA. Since graduating in 2006 he has produced seven shows around NYC. These include productions in the New York International Fringe Festival, The Lower East Side Festival, at The Living Theatre and other venues. Andrew has also had three plays published in literary magazines and the Hadar Foundation's own journal, LINE.

As an actor, Andrew has been in several off-off Broadway productions and the Obie-Award winning production of The Brig. For a year Andrew performed The Brig in NYC, LA, Berlin, Stuttgart, Florence, Rome, Naples, and other cities around Italy. The Brig earned Italy's 2008 Best Foreign Production and will be revived in Brussels, early 2009. Most currently he ended a tour with Equalogy Inc. where he toured East Coast Colleges & Universities raising awareness of date rape. Now Andrew and his partner in crime, Thom McGinn, are developing a sketch comedy group called Peer Pressure. PP will performing in comedy clubs and theaters around NYC.

The Richard & Micca Hadar foundation has a very special place in Andrew's heart and soul. He thanks Richard and Micca both for their unending generosity to himself and the other scholars (current and alumni). With their help and support Andrew has been able to study at some of the best schools around the world, honing his craft. Andrew would like to thank his family, friends, and colleagues.
